Hi, I'm Jani! ☀️

Today, I am a healthy, happy, sober woman living in a beautiful Texas river town with my son and our two cats. I’m in a loving relationship and I wake up grateful to be alive. However, it wasn’t always this way.

For years, I struggled with addiction, anxiety, and depression. At my lowest, I called the 9-8-8 crisis hotline, desperately searching for another path. Seeds of healing were planted at that moment.

The turning point came in 2020, when I chose sobriety and began to see my life with clarity. Recovery wasn’t just about giving up substances, it was about releasing unhealthy patterns, learning self-compassion, and building a new foundation for myself and my son.

Since then, I’ve completed my Master of Social Work, became licensed as a therapist, and trained in EMDR, a powerful approach that helps people heal old wounds and shift the stories they carry. My practice, Rooted in Presence, was born from this journey, one that taught me the value of self-love, perseverance, and faith.

This life was hard-earned but entirely worth it. Now, I’m here to walk alongside others ready to create lives rooted in presence, freedom, and possibility. If my story resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. I wholeheartedly believe that healing is possible for everyone, no matter their past. You don’t have to walk alone.

My mission is to create a safe and compassionate space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move beyond old patterns. Through mindfulness, somatic practices, and evidence-based approaches, I support individuals in regulating their nervous systems, strengthening resilience and joy, and creating lives rooted in presence.

I envision a world where people feel safe and at home within their minds and bodies, free to be themselves and to be loved unconditionally. A world where self-compassion flourishes and ripples outward through families and communities, creating a wave of healing that touches all of humanity.

Rooted in presence,
I hold space for healing.
From self-compassion comes connection,
from connection, a ripple of unconditional love.
